Our History

While ministering as pastor of the Berlin Baptist Church in Berlin, WI, Pastor Leon Leeds was burdened to extend their church's gospel outreach to another town about 50 miles from Waupaca.  Pastor Leeds along with some men from the church, one of which was Evangelist Charles Curtis, traveled to two cities and after much prayer, the city of Kaukauna was chosen.

God cemented in the heart of Evangelist Curtis that he should become the missionary pastor of this new church along with a young man just out of Bible college and one year of seminary, Pastor James Grosse.   On December 13, 1981, the first service was scheduled to be held at the Fourth and Main street location.

For the next two years, the church participated in a strong door-to-door ministry, attracting people to its services by the true teachings of the Bible.  In 1989, a two-acre parcel of land was secured and building plans were begun.  A ground-breaking service was held on May 28, 1989 for the first building owned by the congregation.

For the next eight years, the congregation grew to a point that a 4400 square foot addition was completed in 2000 and is where we are today.  God has blessed throughout these 25 years by sending to us so many wonderful people.  We invite you to rejoice with us in praise to the Lord for all the great things he has done.
